Antique German yellow latticinio swirl marble. There is a ghost core, surrounded by the yellow lattice work in the center. On the outside we have 4 alternating bands, two of which are pink/blue and two are pink/green/white. Large size marble at 1 9/16″ or 1.570 on the caliper. The surface is all original with a ground and faceted basil pontil on one side, and a melted pontil on the other. This one I would grade NearMint+ 8.7 w/a rough patch(which appears as-made), some pinpricking visible under the loupe, and overall light surface wear.
The pictures I am taking are like looking through a loupe. I want to do this so you can see for yourself any damage on the marble. I shoot with a flash to bring out any subtleties within the marble without having to use extremely bright lighting which creates a lot of reflection, therefore, some of the colors may appear to be more vivid in the pictures than they actually are.
